Description
Welcome to the Renaissance! From the brilliant minds of Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick, comes the Tony-nominated musical sensation Something Rotten!
Set in 1595, the story follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, struggling playwrights desperate to outshine the wildly popular William Shakespeare. When a soothsayer foretells that the future of theater involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, the Bottom brothers set out to write the world’s very first musical.
What follows is a laugh-out-loud mashup of mistaken identities, outrageous performances, over-the-top production numbers, and references to dozens of Broadway classics. Whether you're a Shakespeare fan, a musical lover, or just in the mood for a night of belly laughs and Broadway flair — this show is for you.
