For centuries, Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper has mesmerized the world—a still-life masterpiece capturing faith, betrayal, and devotion in a single frame. But what happens when that moment comes to life? When the twelve disciples step out of the painting, their voices and emotions woven together in a moving theatrical experience?
On April 9th, 2025, the Rose Center Theater in Westminster, CA, presents The Living Lord’s Supper, a musical dramatization that breathes new life into this historic moment. Led by an outstanding cast and choir, this one-night-only event invites audiences to step inside the story of Jesus’ final meal with his disciples.
The Cast: The Faces Behind the Story
Before the lights dim and the music begins, get to know the incredible actors and vocalists behind this unforgettable production.
Garrett Brown as Jesus
Jesus of Nazareth is the heart of The Living Lord’s Supper — the teacher, the prophet, and the Messiah. His words at this final meal with his disciples shape the foundation of Christianity. Garrett Brown brings depth, power, and emotional resonance to the role, guiding the audience through the final moments of Christ’s earthly ministry. With a background in stage performance and music, his portrayal is set to be both commanding and deeply moving.
Vincent Aniceto as Phillip
Phillip was one of the first to recognize Jesus as the Messiah and played a key role in spreading his teachings. Known for his inquisitive nature and deep faith, Phillip sought understanding and clarity in Jesus' words. Vincent Aniceto brings a thoughtful, sincere presence to this role, capturing Phillip’s quest for truth and devotion to Christ.
Erik Duane as Judas
No disciple is as infamous as Judas Iscariot. His betrayal of Jesus for thirty pieces of silver remains one of the most well-known acts in history. Erik Duane’s portrayal promises to dive into the inner turmoil of Judas, presenting a man torn between loyalty, greed, and regret.
Charles Mariano as Peter
Peter, the fisherman-turned-disciple, is known for his fiery passion and unwavering devotion to Jesus. But even he, in a moment of fear, denies knowing Christ. Charles Mariano captures Peter’s struggle between courage and human frailty, making him one of the most relatable figures of the Last Supper.
Randall Goddard as Andrew
Andrew is Peter’s brother and the first disciple Jesus called. Often seen as a quiet but faithful follower, he was known for bringing others to Christ. Randall Goddard’s performance highlights Andrew’s steadfast nature and deep trust in Jesus’ teachings.
Scott Juhl as Simon the Zealot
Simon the Zealot’s past as a revolutionary sets him apart. He was once a radical fighter, yet he laid down his sword to follow Jesus. Scott Juhl embodies Simon’s transformation from warrior to disciple, showcasing the power of redemption.
Chris Caputo as Matthew
A former tax collector, Matthew’s decision to follow Jesus was scandalous. Seen as a traitor to his people before his conversion, Matthew’s journey reflects radical grace and acceptance. Chris Caputo delivers this role with emotional sincerity, portraying the weight of his past and the joy of his redemption.
Kristin Caputo as Thaddeus
Thaddeus is one of the more mysterious disciples, mentioned briefly in scripture. Yet his presence at the Last Supper suggests his deep commitment to Jesus. Kristin Caputo brings a gentle strength and reverence to this often-overlooked apostle.
Laura Schultz as Thomas
Doubting Thomas, as he is often called, is known for his skepticism after Jesus' resurrection. But his story is one of faith overcoming doubt. Laura Schultz beautifully portrays Thomas’ inner conflict and ultimate realization of the truth.
Cat Sacksteder as James the Lesser
James the Lesser is a disciple often overshadowed by others, but his role is no less vital. He represents the everyman, the quiet believer who follows faithfully. Cat Sacksteder’s performance adds depth to this often underappreciated figure.
David Schroeder as Bartholomew
Also known as Nathanael, Bartholomew is recognized for his pure heart and honesty. Jesus himself called him “a man in whom there is no deceit.” David Schroeder captures Bartholomew’s sincerity and devotion, making him a compelling presence in the ensemble.
Shiloh Orr as James
James, the son of Zebedee, was one of Jesus’ closest disciples. Alongside his brother John, he was present for many of Jesus’ most significant moments. Shiloh Orr steps into this role with authority and passion, portraying James as a leader within the disciple group.
Raymond Tezanos as John
John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, is often depicted as the most devoted. His later writings would become some of the most profound parts of the New Testament. Raymond Tezanos portrays John with gentleness, wisdom, and unwavering faith, providing a touching portrayal of Christ's closest companion.
The Choir: Voices That Elevate the Story
A production of this magnitude would not be complete without an exceptional choir, whose voices weave together the emotion and message of the performance. The Living Lord’s Supper choir features: Anita Baker, Sharon Barnard, Ron Bender, Shirley Colvin, Erica Duane, Marlin Golnitz, Shirley Golnitz, Gwenn Hefley, Eric Johnson, Woody Mansergh, Carol Oberg, Teresa Orr, Maryann Osness, Mary Rich, Kathy Wisser, and Judy Ziemer.
Together, this talented ensemble transforms a timeless story into an unforgettable experience.
